This is a super crude and early small sized mallet with an applied string type lip and an large improved pontil. The shape is uneven, with a humped shoulder on one side and a slightly drawn waist. Unembossed.

Condition: structurally perfect with no chips, dings or cracks. Never tumble cleaned and has a beautiful glowy natural patina. Some light surface dulllness/haze and trace wear.
