Here is the 1859 dated example of the block letter RYAN soda in a rich deep true cobalt color. Most interesting is the scarce form variant that has the short tapered "tent" top. It has a super nice mold strike too. Taken together, the deep color, tent top and mold strike really make this look extra crude and stand out in a line of blue Ryans! This is priced down because of a boo boo chip on the lower edge of the top. If no takers, I'll drop the price later.
Embossed: (block-lettering) JOHN RYAN. / SAVANNAH GEO. / 1859
Color: deep true cobalt blue
Height: 7 1/8"
Top: applied tent top style taper
Base: crude and sort of looks like an eroded pontil but selling as smooth-based
Structural Condition: it has a 1/4"chip off the bottom of the tent top skirt on the side of the JO. No other structural issues.
Surface Condition: it has patchy haze and spotty light wear. The strike is nice so this could easily be polish cleaned if that's your thing.
