Philadelphia PA Circa 1860 Green Lager/Soda
There are numerous variants of the 1850's-1870 Johnston sodas. This deep green example missed the pontil period, barely, and is the "filled J" type. Hand applied double taper top. Nice hammered crudity in the glass. Embossed: JOHNSTON & CO / PHILA // J (large filled block letter) Height: 7 1/8 " Condition: Excellent - structurally perfect with no chips, dings etc. There is one small tick off the collar that you need to feel for, trace wear, faint haze in spots, all mentioned for accuracy.
