Circa 1820 Black Glass Case Gin - Pig Nose Style Top

A quart-sized, large case gin with "legs" and a crude applied pig nose style wide-flared top. The pontil is a large tubular open scar with jagged class protruding pretty far from the base. Never tumble cleaned, natural patina. Circa 1810-1820. Loads of micro seed bubbles and character.

Unembossed

Height:  10"

Color: blackish amber-olive green

Condition: perfect structurally with no issues (no dings, chips, cracks, etc.). It does have some contents residue (the cork is broke off and I didn't want to remove it for interior wasking). It has some trace surface scratchiness/light wear that could be quickly cleaned if desired. Normal base wear. There is a very old label stuck to the side that I left as is.

Reference Number:  LA9
