Circa 1850 NY Blue Top Mead

This is an exceptionally nice example of the Knickerbocker Mead bottle, but having the much sought after blue top glazing. Perfect condition except for a manufacturing flake on the rear toward to bottom (no harm).

Debossed: S S KNICKERBOCKER

Height: 10"
Color: tan with a thick blue band around the neck

Condition: near mint - no lip chips or cracks. On the reverse near the bottom there is a 3/4" shallow flake that is partially glazed over and so was from the crude manufacturing process (no harm).
