Circa 1850, this is an iron pontiled Philly soda that is pretty hard to find. Except for some very old chipping on one side of the blob top, this is in nice shape and tilts far to the left when standing, crude.
Embossed: S. MOORE / SUPERIOR / MINERAL WATER / PHILAD.A // B (filled block letter)
Height: 7 1/2"
Color: deep teal green
Condition: this is a dug example that has not been cleaned and really doesn't need it much - a bit of contents residue inside and some very pretty opalescence on the glass, so I like it as is. Except for some issues with the top of the blob, it is structurally perfect but with no iron residue on the pontiled base. The major issue with this is that there are several interrelated chips off the one upper side of the blob - they don't go through and the top is flush, plus the cjips look very old and possibly from manufacturing. So while I have seen better examples of the bottle, this displays great and is hard to find.
