Smooth-Based Example of this Emerald Green ROUSSEL Attractive Philly Soda
This is a nice example of this popular Civil War era soda/mineral water from Philadelphia. Circa 1860, it has an applied blob top. See all pics please.
Embossed: E. ROUSSEL. / PHILADA
Height: 7 1/2".
Color: deep emerald green
Condition: near perfect structurally - just one shallow flake off the side of a bubble on the base, which looks to be from manufacturing (this was from the time when they were phasing out pontil rods.) Plus some overall spotty wear and a few scracthes. A pretty bottle!
