The bottle up for sale in this lot is the smaller one shown on the right. This is one of 9 known in this top condition.
This is the HOLY GRAIL of the pharmacy label embossed irregular hexagon poison bottles, the F. & E. BAILEY & CO. LOWELL, MASS. There are perhaps six of these beauties in this MINT condition, meaning, there are no cracks, chips, dings, flea bites, stains or anything else that would be detraction.
The bottom is marked C.L.C. CO. and the number 4, meaning four ounces. The larger bottle on the left is also for sale as lot X215. The larger one is marked in the same manner on the bottom, except it has the number 8, meaning eight ounces. The backs of these bottles are plan [unribbed] for placement of the label. The bottle was hand blown in a mold with a hand-tool applied lip. Know that you want this bottle because there will be no
returns for any reason (I'm selling this for a friend).
This is a fabulous investment piece!
